According to scripture (2 Sam 12:24),
David and Bathsheba had another son who they called Solomon, and the Lord loved him.
The Lord loved him! He was the son of the man who had his mothers husband killed and whose mother had committed adultery with that man to get the whole thing started.
God, somehow in His wisdom, decided that Solomon was the one to declare the Greatness of God.
We humans don’t discern very well who should speak for us, thinking such things as education, or breeding, or situation in life, wealth, etc, are the things that qualify people to do extraordinary and amazing feats.
In fact, most unique and innovative people come from humble beginnings and work their way past the roadblocks to become who they are.
Solomon sought all the entrapments of the world trying to find the satisfaction that only comes from the peace found in God.
There is a pandemic in the world, but it’s not in the form of a virus, but rather, in the form of ending one’s life.
