"Jehovah Raa & Jehovah Shalom" Oct 29th

The Lord is my Shepherd, the Lord is my peace.

I put these two names together because, to me, they are the same.  If the Lord is truly my Shepherd over me, there is no need to fear.

In Ps 23 we plainly see that God is giving us peace and comfort, even in the midst of our enemies.

Think about this-if Mexico was lobbing 1,000 rockets a month in the U.S. (even if we were knocking them down with an iron dome) would we be as calm as Israel.

It is literally a part of their everyday life there.  But they are taught the promises of God and they can rest in the peace that only a shepherd can provide.

Granted this is not the same peace that Jesus gives, but it is still the Word of God, the Father, as He is watching over His beloved.

Shepherd=peace
As long as that Shepherd is the Lord. If we take David as our example, he killed a lion and a bear in defense of his flock.  They knew if they were close to David they would be safe.

Safe to eat, safe to drink and safe to rest.

If you are missing any of these things, call out to the Shepherd of your soul.
